The Gala Dinner is one of the premier RCW 139 events, and has been held at every RCW 139 convention. It's a chance to eat a fabulous meal in the company of other Due South fans. As in past events, all guests will be invited to the dinner - previous attendees have included David Marciano, Catherine Bruhier, Ramona Milano, and Tom Melissis. There is no dress code for the dinner. Some attendees have typically considered it to be a semi-formal event, but you are free to come as you wish! The dinner will be held in the main ballroom (Forest Hill ballroom) of the Toronto Marriott Bloor Yorkville. This year's dinner will also feature the 3rd RCW 139 group picture - following the tradition initiated in 2008 by David Marciano and Catherine Bruhier! And you never know what kind of after-dinner entertainment might happen...


The dinner will be served as a themed buffet. You may choose to have your main course with the Vecchios, Frasers, or/and Kowalskis! If you have special dietary requirements, please let us know!


A special menu for children can be offerred if requested. There is no cost for children 3 and under, as long as they do not require their own meal (or you provide it).


Dinner menu - Youth and Adults


Includes assorted Artesian bread rolls with butter, freshly brewed premium regular and decaffeinated Starbucks Coffee and Tazo teas


Salads


Seasonal market greens, caramelized onion vinaigrette, pickled ginger and citrus dressing


Orzo Pasta, crumbled feta cheese, green peas and roasted peppers, herb vinaigrette


Tomato, cucumber and sweet peppers with feta, lemon oregano vinaigrette


Creamy green cabbage slaw with toasted sunflower seeds


Main courses


The Frasers will be serving:

Braised chicken forrestier

Bacon shards, woodland mushrooms and pearl onion

Yukon gold mashed potatoes


At the Vecchios:

Penne Putanesca (spiced rustic crushed tomato basil sauce with capers and olives) - Vegetarian


And at the Kowalskis:

Baked Cabbage Roll Casserole

Pan fried perogies, fried onion and sour cream


Dessert


Chef’s selection of fresh European cakes, tortes, traditional French pastries, fresh sliced fruits and berries in season
